It has been awhile since we had any update, mainly because nothing has changed. We have been waiting for steel. What a waste of a great Fall. The weather has been perfect for working outside. So all I have for you is some pictures of steel beams that have finally gone up. Have a Great Christmas Holiday Season. Hopefully we will have some bigger changes for you after the new year.

Midwest Machinery Co has a new auction site available for you. Customers can go into the site and register at any time. Beginning this evening at 5:00, customers can place a proxy bid which will be not be visible to anybody including us. The highest proxy bid for a particular item will be the opening bid when the auction starts on Sept. 6th at 9:00 a.m. The auction will end between 10:00 and 4:00 on Sept. 7th. Each piece will have a different ending time so customers have a chance at bidding on multiple items. If an item receives a bid with a few minutes of the ending time, that piece will then go into “overtime” where the bidding will be extended. Midwest Machinery in Alexandria MN co-sponsored along with the Douglas County Extension and 4-H program and the Douglas Corn Growers association, The Agricultural night at the Alexandria Beetles Baseball game. We handed out John Deere Koozies, Corn Growers served hundreds of free corn on the cob. 4-H Groups and the Douglas Extension office gave out 4-H clover fans, which came in handy. They also had many games and prizes. The Beetles won too!!
The Northwoods League is a summer baseball league comprised of teams of the top college players from across the nation and North America.

The country music festival known as “Winstock” was held June 10th and 11th in Winsted, Minnesota. It features music from the up and coming to the well-known artists in the country music business today. Some of this years entertainment included James Otto, Darius Rucker, The Oak Ridge Boys, Montgomery Gentry and Jason Aldean. As any John Deere fan would know, Jason Aldean’s biggest hit so far has been “Big Green Tractor”, so it was only fitting that John Deere be a part of the festival this year. Midwest Machinery Co together with wegotgreen.com, held a campsite decorating contest with the theme being “Big Green Tractor”. It was awesome to see a lot of campsites with John Deere decorations! And it didn’t end there, the John Deere tee shirts, hats and sweatshirts (yes, it was very cold in June in Minnesota! Who would have thought?!) were everywhere! We even got Jason Aldean to sign a toy tractor for us! The weekend was great! Nothing goes together better than country music and John Deere! Check out the winners of the decorating contest and a picture of our “signed” John Deere tractor!
