Leave a Comment July is the month for Customer Appreciation Days at Midwest Machinery Company. We have 7 locations do a dinner for their customers. Unfortunatley 3 of the stores had really HOT days, so their attendence was down a little. Sometimes it is just to hot to even eat. Howard Lake location (where our wegotgreen website is based at) had theirs on a hot day but still served over 625 people. That is still a great turn out. If you happen to be a website customer that lives near one of our stores, make sure you stop in next year. We would love to meet you.

The country music festival known as “Winstock” was held June 10th and 11th in Winsted, Minnesota. It features music from the up and coming to the well-known artists in the country music business today. Some of this years entertainment included James Otto, Darius Rucker, The Oak Ridge Boys, Montgomery Gentry and Jason Aldean. As any John Deere fan would know, Jason Aldean’s biggest hit so far has been “Big Green Tractor”, so it was only fitting that John Deere be a part of the festival this year. Midwest Machinery Co together with wegotgreen.com, held a campsite decorating contest with the theme being “Big Green Tractor”. It was awesome to see a lot of campsites with John Deere decorations! And it didn’t end there, the John Deere tee shirts, hats and sweatshirts (yes, it was very cold in June in Minnesota! Who would have thought?!) were everywhere! We even got Jason Aldean to sign a toy tractor for us! The weekend was great! Nothing goes together better than country music and John Deere! Tuesday, March 15, 2011 is National Ag Day. It is a day to celebrate the abundance provided by American Farmers.
Each year National Ag Day unifies members of the industry to educate consumers about the importance of American agriculture. United States farmers are the most productive in the world. They produce safe, nutritious food; fibers for warmth and shelter; and renewable fuels to help our environment and reduce our dependence of foreign oil. The agricultural industry also provides millions of jobs and helps improve our balance of trade around the world.
John Deere, along we all of us at WeGotGreen, is proud to be a partner in the National Ag Day campaign and will once again be the sponsor of the National Ag Day poster. The 2011 poster is the third in a series featuring diverse farming regions in the United States. This year, Southern farming and crops are featured.

On February 16 through February 19, 2011 the National Farm Machinery Show and Championship Tractor Pull will be in Louisville, Kentucky. The website teases, “We’re Like Candy for Farmers”.

You won’t be alone! Almost 300,000 people attended the event in 2010. Again, hundreds of thousands will make their way to see the newest in farm technology, participate in free seminars centered around the “Future of Farming”, and witness the Championship Tractor Pull. The list of exhibits is endless, which you can see.
