Midwest Machinery Alexandria Receives Friends of 4-H Award
2 Comments On Saturday, November 12th, 2011, our Alexandria location received the Friends of 4-H Award. This award is presented to a business or individuals for contributions to the Douglas County 4-H program. Midwest Machinery sponsors plagues for two different project areas. We contribute to the 4-H food stand, supply the barns with a skid steer, tractor and manure spreader for cleaning the barns. Midwest Machinery is also a supporter of the 4-H auction every year. I personally could not be more honored to receive this award. 4-H is a great organization to be associated with!

Well the crew in our Glenwood Store got moved. They have been settled in for about a couple weeks now. This is the old showroom empty.
They won’t know what to do with all the space they will have with the new store.
All the management got involved in moving.
Here Ben and Marv are helping to put the bin away.
Showroom, parts and offices gone.
They did sell this part of the shop so it has to be taken down in “nice” pieces.
They have footings are about done. Have to get that underground digging done before it freezes. Keep watching for more updates.

Glenwood MN Midwest Machinery is getting a new store.
Leave a Comment Midwest Machinery is building a new John Deere store in Glenwood, MN. The wash bay is up, that is where the offices and parts will be until the new store is done in March. Packing has begun and moving starts on Friday, September 16th. The building is coming down the following Monday. It is a very old building, I remember going there with my Dad, 30 years ago (not to give my age away). We are very excited about the new project. The display floor would hold one lawn mower and not much John Deere merchandise. So for me, I get to stock another location with a lot more JOHN DEERE “stuff”. I drove by the shop last weekend, for nostalgic reasons!
The trenches were pretty deep for the water, but here in MN it gets cold, even deep in the ground.
I personally would not want to be our trucker from that store, trying to go between trenches with a wide load. I don’t like driving over roads where the sides are gone in a car, let alone in a semi with trailer.
This is the space that 2 Administration, 3 Parts, 3 Salesman will have to share for the next 6 months. I keep telling them, “but think of the store you get when it is over”. We will keep you updated with more pictures as this progresses. And of course, in Midwest Machinery Co style, we will be have a GRAND OPENING event.
It is fair time in Douglas County. I think we have to be one of the latest fairs in Minnesota. Our State fair starts this week. Doesn’t give much rest for the kids or animals going to the State fair. Midwest Machinery has a booth at the fair where we sell clothing, merchandise and ALOT of 1/64 toys.
Kids, of all ages, love the tractor to take a picture with.
We are offering a 10 percent discount at the fair and want to pass that on to our website friends. On Sunday, August 21st, if you use the coupon code FAIR, (case sensitive) you will receive 10 percent off your total order.
We would love to see any fair pictures you have to share.

July is the month for Customer Appreciation Days at Midwest Machinery Company. We have 7 locations do a dinner for their customers. Unfortunatley 3 of the stores had really HOT days, so their attendence was down a little. Sometimes it is just to hot to even eat. Howard Lake location (where our wegotgreen website is based at) had theirs on a hot day but still served over 625 people. That is still a great turn out. If you happen to be a website customer that lives near one of our stores, make sure you stop in next year. We would love to meet you.
